Designed for people who have some prior experience with Fitzmaurice Voicework®, these classes are like workout sessions to get your voice and body tuned up for presence and play. Bring your monologue or song or half-formed thoughts to this class and work it out! We will review the principles of Fitzmaurice Voicework: Tremorwork®, Destructuring, Restructuring, Presence and Play and apply them to your material.
If you have no prior experience but are curious, you can get a primer through private sessions with me. Contact me at leesufeh@gmail.com
About Fitzmaurice Voicework
Fitzmaurice Voicework® is a whole-body approach to voice that, in founder Catherine Fitzmaurice's words, "explores the dynamics between body, breath, voice, the imagination, language and presence." The method integrates adaptations of classical voice training with modifications of yoga, bioenergetics and other body-centered disciplines to harmonize the voluntary and involuntary aspects of the nervous system and breath. This integration cultivates voices that can communicate intention and feeling without excess effort.
Fitzmaurice Voicework® supports the full spectrum of vocal expression—whether for performance, public speaking, singing, voice with movement, vocal rehabilitation, or simply developing greater presence and connection to yourself.
